Payroll Administrator.

Position Overview.

This position is a key member of the Aziyo Biologics team and as such is involved in executing the Company’s goals and objectives as it relates to payroll administration.

 This position will be responsible for collecting and entering all aspects of pay data necessary for bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now in a multi-state and jurisdiction environment. Additional responsibilities include general administrative support, and payroll accounting related journal data entries.

Position reports directly to the Director, Finance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data utilizing ADP Time & Attendance and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals for time card discrepancies, vacation hours, and other matters as appropriate, and validate overtime hours.
  • Monitor timekeeping compliance to include hours worked, rest periods and meal breaks in accordance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Validate new hire set-up and current employee updates/changes entered by Human Resources.
  • Process and close periodic payroll, while maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Provide payroll support and general benefits support to all employees.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages, and performs W-2 reconciliation.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Upload payroll related journal entries into company’s ERP and reconcile payroll liability accounts.
  • Maintain 401(k) participant database in plan sponsor system, and transmit contribution files.
  • Prepare journal entries for benefits allocation, vacation, and 401(k).
  • Collaborate with accounting to obtain and enter Employee Stock Purchase Program data (elections, changes, withdrawals), RSU vesting amounts and stock option exercises into ADP.


  • Associates degree in business administration, finance and/or accounting, or have equivalent experience with a payroll related certification.
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation highly valued.

Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years experience in payroll administration
  • Proven experience in multi-state payroll processing, data collection, entry and reporting.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
  • Computer savvy, with a high aptitude specifically in ADP Workforce Now, and Excel.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving.
