Manager, Facilities

Position Overview

As a member of Aziyo’s Richmond Team (RT), the Manager, Facilities has overall responsibility to ensure the appropriate systems are in place to:

a. maintain and improve the existing facility (offices, warehouse, clean rooms),
b. administrate appropriate cGTP (preventative maintenance, calibration, …) and safety systems (fire, security, lock-out/tag-out…),
c. maintain the operability of the equipment (process and support), utilities (RO water, clean compressed air, HVAC), and other infrastructure of the Richmond site.
d. This includes executing the work itself and/or managing the work of contractors.

As an important member of the site, the Manager, Facilities also has the responsibility to demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Aziyo values including teamwork, problem-solving, focus on results, and encouraging diverse thinking.

This position reports to VP, Operations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the appropriate operation, maintenance and monitoring of mechanical/utility systems
o HVAC including clean room pressurization
o Reverse Osmosis water system and clean steam generation
o Clean compressed air system
o Low Temperature Freezers
• Responsible for the appropriate operational status, maintenance and monitoring of process equipment
o Maintaining appropriate documentation for process equipment (equipment files)
o Maintaining a GTP compliant preventative maintenance and calibration program
o Conducting and/or coordinating prompt equipment repair
• Responsible for administration of contracted general facility maintenance systems
o Janitorial service
o Pest Control
o Security/Fire protection
• Responsible for computerized systems for facility administration
o Building Management System
o PM/Calibration Databases
o Security Systems
o Equipment Monitoring Systems
• Responsible for contractor management
• Responsible for identifying, sourcing, and managing improvements to existing and new facilities and utilities


Bachelor of Science – Engineering

Experience and Skills

• 3+ years experience in supporting a light manufacturing facility in an FDA regulated industry
• Basic mechanical/electrical skills
• Strong customer focus and responsiveness
• Problem-solving skills
• Flexible
• Superb inter-personal skills
• High tolerance for ambiguity
